Xenon (Xe) is a rare noble gas which accounts for less than 0.00001% in earth’s atmosphere. Some of the Xenon source comes from mineral springs, while it can be commercially produced as a by-product from an air separation unit (ASU) plant. Xenon is widely used in the production of plasma displays for television flat screens. In semiconductor and memory chip production, high-purity Xenon is used as an atmosphere, plasma and ion beam source for deposition and etching. In the glass manufacturing process, Xenon is utilised to fill halogen sealed-beam headlights. It is also commonly used as a neuroprotective and anesthetic agent in the medical market. Xenon is also used in high-energy particle physics research; for instance, ultra-high purity Xenon which has very low content in oxygen and water is used for gamma-ray and X-ray spectroscopy to study research related to the universe and dark matter.
Ace Gases offer Xenon products in the form of cylinders at different volumes with high purity grade.
