SHAH ALAM, Malaysia – November 18, 2025 – Ace Gases, a fully owned subsidiary of Kelington Group, is spearheading a 2 MW green hydrogen production hub in Selangor under a newly signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Worldwide Energy Development (WED) and SKS Coachbuilders. This collaboration brings together renewable power, hydrogen production, and downstream mobility to advance Malaysia’s energy transition.
The planned hydrogen facility will rely entirely on electricity from the Batang Kali Small Hydropower Plant developed by WED. By leveraging electrolysis, the hub is designed to generate zero-carbon hydrogen, supplying both industrial and transport applications.
Under the MOU, Ace Gases will take charge of hydrogen production operations and market-business development, while SKS Coachbuilders will drive downstream efforts by deploying fuel cell electric buses (FCEVs) and building hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
This initiative supports key national objectives, including Malaysia’s Hydrogen Economy & Technology Roadmap, the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), and the Selangor SHORE program, reflecting a strong alignment with the country’s decarbonization goals.
